This is a rare item. Made by the Mattatuck Handcuff Company and patented Aug. 1904. These were unique due to their wildly inventive locking mechanism which takes a special triangular cut key.
These are similar to the Mattatuck Handcuffs which Houdini taught WW1 Soldiers to escape from should they ever need to.
